En Route to the 2009 World Championships, Canada’s own Rosie MaclennanRosie in Canada drops into Springfree™ Trampoline headquarters to say hi to the team.

The 2009 World Championships is the first in the new Olympic cycle, and the first of many important competitions for Rosie and fellow Canadian Trampoline gymnasts ahead of London 2012.

Maclennan is one of the world’s rising trampoline athletes currently holding the claim to the hotly contested Canadian National Trampoline Champion.

Rosie has always been a huge supporter and we could not be prouder to have such a star endorse our Springfree™ Trampoline.

“Whenever I’m asked to recommend a backyard trampoline, I always think of Springfree Trampoline first. Springfree is the safest trampoline on the market today. I love the fact there are no harmful springs on the Springfree Trampoline so kids can enjoy hours of healthy and fun exercise without the worry of rusty steel springs to fall through. Kids finally have a safe place to jump, have fun and get fit, all at the same time. Way to go Springfree!”

Rosie joins other Olympic trampoline athletes Karen Cockburn and Jason Burnett who also endorse the Springfree as the safest backyard trampoline on the market today.

Springfree™ Trampoline would like to wish Rosie and the entire Canadian team the best of luck at Worlds!

Did you know that the Trampoline was invented by a champion American gymnast called George Nissen, who thought it might help him with his training?

He created the prototype trampoline from angle iron with a canvas bed and rubber springs in 1935.  From there the Trampoline has come along way!  The Springfree™ Trampoline is the new generation design taking the world by storm.  Everyone loves to jump on a trampoline and now they can do it safely with an award winning Springfree™ Trampoline!

Nissen had always wanted to have trampolining included in the Olympic Games and this finally happened in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.  The very first Gold Medal was awarded to Russian, Irina Karavaena and George Nissen was there in person to witness this historic event at the age of 86.

What’s your favourite Olympic memory?
